MBO College Lelystad (ROC van Flevoland) and Natuur en Milieufederatie Flevoland planted trees on April 24 at Roggebotstaete Estate. Together with students from MBO College Lelystad, this is another step towards more trees on the estate.
Planting trees for and by students
Every year trees are planted under the banner of the Plan Boom project on the Roggebotstaete Estate together with students from HBO and MBO courses. This time the students of the Beautician course of the MBO-college Lelystad (ROC of Flevoland) took action. Together they planted native trees near the driveway of the estate.
Earlier, students from the Wood Furniture College and from Avantus Apeldoorn planted trees on the estate under the motto “a forest for and by students. Students from MBO-college Lelystad are now participating as well: together they are creating a student forest on Roggebotstaete Estate.
Plan Boom
Through Plan Boom, the Nature and Environment Federations are planting 10 million trees in gardens, roadsides, public gardens, parks, business parks and outlying areas. This will reduce our CO2 emissions and make our environment healthier, greener and more beautiful. The NMFF wants to get 500,000 trees into the ground in Flevoland! Plan Boom is ranked 20th in the Trouw Sustainable Top 100.
