Celebrate the summer solstice on June 21 at Yūgen Forest with a unique outdoor dinner in the middle of nature. Be enchanted by the sun’s rays on your face as you sit at our long table in a field of wildflowers. The culinary journey begins with a welcome drink made with herbs and fruits from our garden. Following is a gourmet five-course menu, carefully and lovingly prepared by our chef Garo Feslian and guest chef Sam van Berken (of the off-grid dining experience Bohiem), using ingredients from our own land.
Our beloved Garo is not just a chef, he is a true food designer. Passionate about communal eating, he knows how to transform every meal into a colorful, shared feast. With its Mediterranean flavors, it gives you a taste of its rich multicultural heritage. He takes you on a nostalgic journey full of delectable dishes that will not only tantalize your taste buds, but also touch your heart.
The outdoor restaurant Bohiem, which has been a guest at our enchanting estate since last year, is a gem among Dutch restaurants. Together with Freek van Noortwijk, Chef Sam uses unique cooking techniques – such as pit-cooking, smoking, grilling on an open flame and fermenting – to create dishes that will make your senses dance. This dinner is not only a chance to enjoy unique flavors, but also to celebrate the shortest night of the year together. It’s an event you don’t want to miss, especially if you missed the sold-out Bohiem experience!
As evening falls, we wrap up the day with a cozy campfire for good conversations and new friendships. The ticket price is €95 (including VAT), which includes a welcome drink. Other drinks are charged separately. We only have 46 seats available, so reserve your spot quickly for this unforgettable experience.
Would you like to stay overnight? You can! After dinner, spend the night in one of our 12 luxury glamping tents, where you will fall asleep under the stars and wake up to the soft chirping of the birds and a delicious breakfast. Each tent is equipped with 2 single beds that are set up as a double bed as standard, but can also be set up as 2 twin beds. When booking dinner, you can optionally add an overnight stay with breakfast. Price: €150 (incl. VAT) per tent, for 2 people, including breakfast.
