Plan Boom: planting trees for and by students in Flevoland

MBO College Lelystad (ROC van Flevoland) and Natuur en Milieufederatie Flevoland planted trees at Roggebotstaete Estate on April 24. Together with students from MBO College Lelystad, this is another step towards more trees on the estate.

Planting trees for and by students
Trees are planted annually under the banner of the Plan Boom project, on Roggebotstaete Estate together with students from HBO and MBO colleges. This time students from the Beauty Specialist course at MBO-college Lelystad (ROC van Flevoland) got in on the action. Together, they planted native trees near the estate’s driveway.

Earlier, students from the Wood Furniture College and from Avantus Apeldoorn planted trees on the estate under the motto “a forest for and by students. Students from MBO-college Lelystad are now participating as well: together they are creating a student forest on Roggebotstaete Estate.

Plan Tree
Through Plan Boom, the Nature and Environment Federations are planting 10 million trees in gardens, roadsides, parks, business parks and in outdoor areas. This reduces our CO2 emissions and makes our environment healthier, greener and more beautiful. The NMFF wants to get 500,000 trees into the ground in Flevoland! Plan Boom is ranked 20th in the Trouw Sustainable Top 100.
