Host / Hostess

As a Hospitality intern at Yugen Forest, you ensure that our guests feel welcome and seen. You support retreats, weddings, off-site sessions, and dinners in the greenery. You receive guests, serve drinks and meals, and help create a warm atmosphere. You work in an international team where English is spoken, but you communicate with guests in Dutch. You learn to respond to various needs, contribute ideas to the guest experience, and collaborate with colleagues in a natural, welcoming, and inspiring environment.

We are looking for a welcoming, open, and service-oriented student who enjoys working with people. You feel responsible for the atmosphere and know how to give guests a warm welcome. You are social, flexible, and can handle busy or unexpected situations well. You speak Dutch with guests and can make yourself understood in English with colleagues. You enjoy thinking along about the experience and work carefully and independently, but also enjoy working together in a team where attention and kindness are central.

We offer an internship where hospitality and nature strengthen each other. You learn in practice how to receive and guide guests and provide a warm experience during retreats, dinners, and sessions in the greenery. You work in a small, international team and contribute to special moments for our visitors. You receive personal guidance, learn to deal with different target groups, and develop your communicative and social skills. You participate in real programs and work at a place where peace, attention, and hospitality are central.

Yugen Forest is a regenerative nature and retreat center at the Roggebotstaete Estate in Dronten. We form a vibrant, inclusive community working together on nature restoration and human growth. Instead of profit as a driver, we choose well-being, connection, and responsibility for future generations.

We manage and restore the landscape with food forests, permaculture gardens, herb-rich meadows, and natural waterways. At the same time, we are a place of peace and inspiration, where people can come to themselves during retreats, ceremonies, and silent walks.

In addition, we host inspiring events such as forest dinners, open days, workshops, and community workdays. Our kitchen processes harvests from our own garden into delicious products and meals for guests, volunteers, and participants.

Yugen Forest is more than a place — it is a way of life in which you are invited to slow down, contribute, and feel a connection with the earth again. Our community consists of volunteers, students, artists, farmers, people in transition phases, reintegration trajectories, social workshops, and nature lovers. Everyone contributes in their own way: in the garden, the kitchen, in the organization of retreats, or behind the scenes at events.
