At Yūgen Forest, you can organize business offsites, retreats, private celebrations, and weddings.

We host away days, team days, annual meetings, and strategy sessions (business), retreats with yoga, breathwork, meditation, or silence (retreat), and special birthdays, anniversaries, family days, or memorials (private). Weddings are handled through our exclusive partner A la Noah. Customization is always possible.

The minimum group size depends on the type of event.

Business events: minimum 15 people. For smaller groups, a surcharge applies per missing person. Retreats: minimum 10 people. Private celebrations: minimum 15 people. This minimum ensures we can provide the kitchen, hosting, and program with full attention, and aligns with our regenerative business model.

Yūgen Forest is centrally located in the Netherlands at Vossemeerdijk 6 in Dronten, Flevoland.

The nature estate is accessible via the N306 from Dronten and via the N305 from Harderwijk. From Dronten station, you can reach us in 15 minutes by taxi or 38 minutes by public transport bike (OV-fiets), straight through the polder landscape.

Upon request, we can arrange transport from Dronten or Kampen Zuid station.

There are no electric charging stations on the grounds yet.

Several public charging points are available in the municipality of Dronten, including at Waterfront and Popart. We advise planning your charging before or after your visit via a public station nearby.

The capacity depends on the chosen location and setting.

Per location, we host groups from 10 to 120 people, depending on whether you are standing, sitting, or staying overnight. We can facilitate custom requests for up to approximately 350 people. For overnight stays, we have 62 beds in the summer (May through September) and 22 year-round. For the exact capacity per location, please see the pages under Facilities.

Yūgen Forest can be rented exclusively upon request.

With exclusive rental, the entire nature estate is available only to your group. Normally, you reserve per location and there may be other groups on the grounds. For retreats, weddings, or multi-day events, we are happy to discuss exclusive use on a custom basis.

Yūgen Forest is a spacious nature estate of 52 hectares where groups rarely encounter each other.

We carefully guard the peace and atmosphere for each group. In consultation, we ensure that programs do not overlap, both in time and space. With exclusive rental, you are naturally the only group present.

Bringing your own food or drinks is not possible at Yūgen Forest.

Every booking includes food and drinks from our garden, prepared by our chefs. This is an essential part of our regenerative philosophy: seasonal, zero-waste, in coordination with our kitchen team. External caterers and food trucks are not permitted, even for parts of the event.

Our kitchen is primarily vegetarian and adapts to dietary requirements and allergies.

Vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, or Ayurvedic options are available for discussion. Home-grown meat or locally caught fish can be provided upon request. Please share your requirements at least seven days before your stay so we can coordinate the menu. For allergies, we ask for a specific notification at the time of booking.

Your event can continue indoors; outdoors, silence is required after 11:00 PM.

Events may continue indoors during the evening and night. Outdoors, silence applies after 11:00 PM: no amplified music or loud noise, to respect the neighbors and nature. A quiet campfire, whispered conversations, or a closing in silence are, however, part of the experience.

Amplified music is possible indoors; outdoors only during the day by arrangement.

Acoustic music, sound journeys, or soft sets fit the location best. Amplified music outdoors is possible until 11:00 PM by arrangement, after which it must move indoors. We consciously choose sound that does not disturb nature, for our guests, the neighbors, and the animals that live here.

Pets are generally not allowed on the grounds.

To maintain the peace, safety, and biodiversity of the nature estate, we do not allow pets. Exceptions are made for service dogs in consultation. On the public walking paths of Roggebotstaete, dogs on a leash are welcome.

Various locations and accommodations are accessible for people with disabilities.

A number of cabins and locations are accessible by wheelchair or walker. An adapted toilet is available. For guests with mobility issues, we have a golf cart available upon request. Let us know your needs in advance, and we will coordinate the reception and program accordingly.

We will schedule a non-binding conversation about your wishes, date, and group. For larger requests, a tour is always possible. After agreement, you will receive a quote. Upon confirmation, we finalize the booking with a 50% deposit. For weddings, the entire process goes through our partner A la Noah; we are happy to put you in touch with each other.

For popular dates, we recommend booking three to six months in advance.

The summer period (May through September) fills up faster due to our outdoor spaces. For retreats and weddings, six months in advance is common. For business events on specific dates, we recommend planning ahead. A non-binding conversation will quickly clarify availability.
