• Which location best fits my type of event?

  Yūgen Forest has four locations, each with its own character and function.

   

  Slot Roggebot is versatile and available year-round, suitable for strategic sessions, team days, and smaller retreats. The Greenhouse (May to September) is an atmospheric space for dinners and work sessions in a 19th-century grape greenhouse. The Boskamer (May to September) is our outdoor location, ideal for celebrations, pizza nights, and dinners over an open fire. The Tipi (May to September) is our ceremonial spot for retreats and inner work.

• Are all four locations available year-round?

  Slot Roggebot is open year-round. The Greenhouse, Boskamer, and Tipi are available from May through September.

   

  In winter, we mainly work with Slot Roggebot for groups of up to 40 people, or up to 50 people if we use the mezzanine. For lying retreats in the tower room, we accommodate up to 20 people. During that period, it is our only standalone location. For larger events, ceremonies, or outdoor programs, we plan for spring and summer. For specific requests outside the season, we are happy to think along with you.

• Can I combine multiple locations?

  Combining locations is often exactly what we recommend.

   

  For retreats in the summer, we standardly combine the Tipi with Slot Roggebot, the Greenhouse, or the Boskamer as a home base for meals and additional sessions. For business events, you can alternate a day in the Slot with a dinner in the Greenhouse. For larger events, it is also possible to rent the entire nature area, allowing you to shape a different program element at each location.

• Is a tour possible before I book?

  For larger inquiries, a tour is always possible by appointment.

   

  We would love for you to experience the place yourself: the locations, the market garden, the woods, and the atmosphere of the nature reserve. Schedule a call via our contact form, and we will first explore your wishes and find a suitable time for a viewing. The walking paths of Roggebotstaete are also open to the public between sunrise and sunset.

• What if it rains or the weather is bad?

  Our outdoor locations are designed for all weather conditions during the season.

   

  The Boskamer has two waterproof stretch tents, and the leaf canopy provides extra protection. The Greenhouse is a glass greenhouse, so rain adds to the atmosphere rather than being a disturbance. The Tipi stands firmly on a sunken field and is completely dry inside. For indoor programs, Slot Roggebot always remains a safe home base. We will welcome you here even during a Dutch summer shower.
