The Greenhouse is our antique Belgian grapevine greenhouse. An atmospheric and very photogenic spot where glass, greenery, and wooden beams form the backdrop for many a memorable occasion. Whether it’s a strategic session, a retreat, workshop, wedding ceremony, or—our favorite—a long-table dinner. Here, you sit sheltered in the heart of the landscape, in the cooling shade of the grapevines, overlooking the market garden.

The daylight is enchanting. The candlelight, if possible, even more so. On warm days, the program moves effortlessly outside, where a lovely terrace, fire pits, and atmospheric lighting extend the evening.

A complete experience

Yūgen Forest is not a standard event location. It is a unique nature reserve with its own market garden and four special spaces where you can organize an event. That is something fundamentally different. Coming together, eating, sleeping, or simply being here, is an event in itself.

After a day full of impressions, dream away in our Tiny house, an off-grid cabin, or a glamping tent. Cosily furnished with softly made beds.

Frequently asked questions about the Greenhouse

The Greenhouse is a 19th-century Belgian grapevine greenhouse in Dronten, converted into an atmospheric space for dinners, ceremonies, and additional sessions.

Glass, greenery, and wooden beams come together to form a space where daylight carries everything and candlelight adds extra magic in the evening. The greenhouse has a character that simply doesn’t exist in a hotel or conference center: it is a living monument, surrounded by the market garden. On warm days, the program moves to the outdoor terrace.
The Greenhouse is perfectly suited for long-table dinners, one of our most requested setups.

The grapevine greenhouse is naturally long and narrow, ideal for banquet-style seating for up to 80 people. Daylight, plants, and the glass walls create an atmosphere where a dinner can effortlessly last for hours. A wood-burning stove inside, and fire pits and atmospheric lighting outside, extend the evening. Our chefs work from our own kitchen and the nearby market garden.
The Greenhouse can be booked either on its own or in combination with another location.

For a dinner, a day session, or a ceremony, you can reserve the Greenhouse as a standalone venue during the April to October season. In combination with Slot Roggebot or the Tipi, you have extra space for overnight stays, sessions, and additional program elements, ideal for multi-day retreats and business programs. For larger events, exclusive hire of the entire nature estate is possible, allowing you to shape a different moment at each location.
The Greenhouse is rented per day, not per half-day.

A day in the Greenhouse standardly runs from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, or until 10:00 AM the following morning for overnight stays. A half-day or a few hours is not possible: the place is designed for groups who take the time for their program, their food, and their conversation. For an initial introduction or to explore the location, we are happy to schedule a tour by appointment.
