Independent leisure & hospitality assistant

As a Leisure & Hospitality intern at Yugen Forest, you help ensure a hospitable and attentive welcome for our guests. You support retreats, multi-day off-site sessions, weddings, training courses, and meetings in a green setting. You assist with receiving and guiding guests, preparing rooms, light cleaning, and making beds. You also contribute to the atmosphere, setup, catering, and decoration. You learn how to bring hospitality, nature, and detail together into a warm experience where visitors feel truly welcome.

We are looking for a hospitable and enthusiastic student who enjoys working with people and has a sense of atmosphere and experience. You are social, flexible, and have a hands-on mentality. You love giving guests a warm welcome and think along with what is needed. You can work independently, but also work well within a team. You enjoy helping to prepare programs, taking care of spaces, and supporting retreats and events in nature. You have an eye for detail and contribute to a pleasant and careful guest experience.

We offer a unique internship where hospitality, nature, and experience come together. You will learn in practice how to receive and support guests and create a pleasant atmosphere during retreats, sessions, and events. You will work with a dedicated team and participate in real programs at a special location. Yugen Forest is a regenerative nature and retreat center at the Roggebotstaete Estate in Dronten. We form a vibrant, inclusive community working together on nature restoration and human growth. Instead of being profit-driven, we choose well-being, connection, and responsibility for future generations.

We manage and restore the landscape with food forests, permaculture gardens, herb-rich meadows, and natural watercourses. At the same time, we are a place of peace and inspiration, where people can find themselves during retreats, ceremonies, and silent walks.

In addition, we host inspiring events such as forest dinners, open days, workshops, and community workdays. Our kitchen processes harvests from our own garden into delicious products and meals for guests, volunteers, and participants.

Our community consists of volunteers, students, artists, farmers, people in transition phases, reintegration programs, social workshops, and nature lovers.
