Hardly any location communicates openly about what a retreat costs. You request a quote, wait, and receive a proposal where you still don’t know what’s included and what’s not. We do things differently.
This article gives you the real figures. What you pay at Yūgen Forest, what you get for it, and how you can justify it internally.
What is always included at Yūgen?
Before you see the prices, it’s useful to know how they are structured. At Yūgen Forest, the package price is always all-in for the essentials.
A multi-day corporate retreat at Yūgen Forest is always all-in: use of the location, all meals, and overnight stay are included. Premium drinks and additional activities such as wellness or workshops can be added optionally. VAT is not included.
Concretely, that means: all meals during the stay, farm-to-table and plant-based as a foundation, coffee and tea and fruit water all day, use of the location per full day (no half-day sessions), and overnight stay in an off-grid cabin, glamping tent, or tiny house.
What is optional and settled afterwards: additional workshops and activities such as a wild foraging walk or breathwork or fermentation, wellness such as sauna and hot tub and cold plunge, and premium drinks such as more exclusive wines or extra mocktails. These are always discussed in advance and never quietly added.
Yūgen Forest can host multiple groups at once. Thanks to the spacious layout and the spread of the locations across the nature reserve, you’ll hardly notice this in practice. Want the entire nature reserve for your group alone? Exclusive rental is possible on request.

Why does a multi-day stay yield more than a day away?

This is the question every decision-maker asks. And the honest answer is: because what happens in the first hours of a retreat is only the beginning.
Groups only slow down after the first day. What often arises here — and what almost never succeeds in a one-day session — is that participants enter a timeless space. They can truly disconnect. Not from their phone, but from the mode they take to the office every day.
Business clients describe it as a safe bedding. An environment where it feels safe to be honest, to name mistakes, and to look at what’s really going on. Not because the program forces it, but because the place and the time allow it. The conversations that take place on the second day are rarely the conversations that were on the agenda.
Research from Harvard Business School — a distillation of 185 studies by Amy Edmondson and colleagues — shows that psychological safety is the strongest predictor of team performance and innovation. You don’t build that safety in a morning. It requires time, rhythm, and an environment that feels different from the workplace.
That is exactly what multi-day adds. Not more program. More space for what the program can do.
What your booking means extra
This is the part that most locations can’t say, and we can.
Profit is a means at Yūgen Forest, not an end. There are no shareholders lining their pockets: what we earn goes back to nature and the people who are part of it. In 2025, we generated more than one euro of social value per euro of turnover — measured via Social Handprint.
In concrete figures: €673,000 in social value in 2025, 115.76% of turnover. Measured on seven of the seventeen UN Sustainable Development Goals. These are not PR numbers. The reports are public.
What that includes: biodiversity restoration and regenerative land management on 52 hectares, day activities for people working on the land through care or welfare, internships for vocational students in forest, nature, and agro-ecology, reintegration trajectories for the UWV target group, and 1,920 hours of volunteer work per year.
If your organization reports on social impact or sustainability: a retreat at Yūgen Forest is demonstrably part of that.

How do you justify this internally?
Three arguments that make the conversation with your manager or financial director more concrete.
Compare the actual price. A hotel retreat where food, drinks, and room costs come separately is rarely cheaper than an all-in package. Add the individual items together — and then you still don’t have an environment that does something for the group. Research from Harvard Business Review shows that 95% of professionals recognize the value of personal contact for long-term relationships, and that companies investing in employee engagement realize an average of 23% more profit.
What does it cost if it doesn’t work? A change process that doesn’t land, a strategy that isn’t supported, a team that falls back into old patterns after the offsite: those costs are less visible but larger. Mercer research shows that organizations with a strong culture of well-being experience an average turnover that is eleven percentage points lower than organizations without.
What does a team concretely bring back? Clarity on a decision that was left pending for too long. A strategy that is now supported by everyone because they worked on it together. New agreements that actually hold up after the retreat.
